Description

 

The "Raul Borges" Trio represents a tradition that goes back several decades to its creation in 1945. Founded by Antonio Lauro, Flaminia de De Sola and Manual Enrique Pérez Díaz, three Venezuelan guitar masters united by a common artistic filiations, they form this prestigious group that takes the name to honor the memory of a great musician, "Raul Borges", founder of the Venezuelan School of Classic Guitar (1932) and whose personality is the starting point for the present generation of Venezuelan guitarists.
In 1985 the group was reactivated through initiative of Antonio Lauro who chose from his present disciples those who could lend continuity and enrich the group with equal or greater artistic maturity. At present, The "Raul Borges" Trio is made up of three excellent Venezuelan guitarists whose names are Lorenzo Camejo, Alberto Espinoza and José Luis Presa.
